Jane has had a lengthy career as a Costume Designer for films, theatre, opera, dance, television and commercials. Most recently, she worked as Costume Designer on the drama documentary “Lawless the Real Bushrangers” which is to be shown on the History Channel.

Career highlights include working for The London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Costume Designer for TV series including The Secret Life of Us, Ocean Girl, Nancy Wake and Anzacs & The Last Outlaw as well as her Feature Films, Squizzy Taylor, Slim Dusty, Buddies & Backstage and working as Assistant Costume Designer on Barry Kosky’s production of Nabucco for Opera Australia.

Jane is also owner of Jane Hyland Costumes, supplying rental period costumes to Film, TV & Theatre Productions.

Recent clients include Picnic at Hanging Rock TV series, Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries, Underbelly Razor, Underbelly Squizzy and Mao’s Last Dancer.
